"I really value working with Business Think. Not only because of their professionalism, but because Elliot is also incredibly affable and great to work with. This was invaluable for me, and makes working together, a very positive thing. In fact, I would say it has been essential to the wonderful results I have.

After explaining about my old website, the solution to build a better one has given me excellent results and is the best decision I made. It’s lifted my business to the next level and is still building my business in the right direction.

I had been trying to get my products into Eden and the Lost Gardens of Heligan for three years. Since working with Business Think, I have been asked to supply products to both and I am sure this is because of the new website.

Elliot explains everything so incredibly well, that I now have knowledge of how to edit my own website and this includes understanding the SEO and why it works. I can now write my listings with knowledge of how Google will rank it and increase the chance that people will find me online. I have already recommended Business Think to a lot of my business friends. I have heard so many stories from my friends of their bad experiences with digital website companies, that I feel so lucky to have had the chance to meet Elliot and Business Think Digital. Elliot can solve lots of problems quickly. If I ever get stuck, he will happily go over the problem until I understand how to do it. He is always on hand to also get it done for me, if I need him to."

Our work with Sarah Eddy Art

I first met Sarah after an introduction from Cultivator Cornwall, an organisation that supports the creative sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Sarah had an existing WordPress website set up with e-commerce, but felt it was not performing well enough and was challenging for her to update and manage sales. This website had quite a dark colour theme and the images of her artwork were small when displayed.

One of the key goals in everything we do is to enable the customer to take control of their own marketing and to not be dependent on designers, marketeers, and others to communicate with their customers. As a result, it was recommended that the site be migrated onto the Shopify platform. This technology is built for e-commerce selling and is extremely simple to use.

While the site was built, Zoom sessions were completed with Sarah to demonstrate how to use the new website and ensure her work was presented exactly as she wanted. A cleaner design was created which used white space and larger imagery of her amazing paintings. In the case of artists, it is my view that less is more when it comes to design and that the art itself should be the focus.

In the final phases, the marketing 'infrastructure' was put in place to ensure Sarah could complete her own marketing independently. These actions included a Search Engine Optimisation demonstration, Google Ads training and setting up email capture to build a following for her newsletter.

I really enjoyed working on this project with Sarah. She is so passionate about Cornwall and her painting, that it becomes infectious and makes you want to help her tell as many people as possible about it. She is also extremely enterprising and open to new ideas, which makes my job a lot easier.

If you get a chance, please do visit her website, and see her collection of amazing Cornwall landscape paintings and fine art prints.
