Etsy to Shopify
After discussing Claire’s requirements and budget, she decided that building the Shopify website herself was the best initial option. Claire already had a successful Etsy shop and wanted to create an e-commerce site to complement her existing business. Guidance was provided to help her achieve this goal and avoid common pitfalls, marking the conclusion of our initial interaction.
A month later, Claire got back in touch, as she needed more hands-on support to complete the Shopify site. She was spending a significant amount of time trying to troubleshoot issues with certain elements that weren’t functioning as expected. Claire wanted to know if there was a way to receive coaching throughout the Shopify build process.
The cost of this type of project is relatively low — around 15% of a full Shopify build — because the customer carries out key tasks such as adding content, while Business Think handles the more complex elements. These include data manipulation to import all existing products into Shopify (avoiding the need to add them individually), correctly configuring purchasing options and site settings, and refining the design to ensure it looks as professional as possible.
Training was delivered through two Zoom coaching sessions, and the final technical steps — including launching the website and connecting it to the domain — were completed by Business Think.
