The Therapy Collective (Canada)

Working with Business Think was the perfect blend of expertise and guidance. No question we asked during our website launch was ever considered silly, and Elliot provided user-friendly information and solutions.

In today's market, a strong online presence is essential for our business. Elliot set up our web presence and implemented a successful Google Ads strategy. This has allowed us to focus on the work we love and connect with clients who are a perfect fit for our services.

Business Think's guidance has kept our business competitive. I highly recommend Elliot's expertise and guidance. We love his direct approach and felt comfortable with him every step of the way. We are so happy with our new upgraded website and look forward to continuing our work with him.

Upgrading WordPress performance

The Therapy Collective is a Canadian business providing support services to a local client base. Founders Michelle and Mieka had an existing WordPress website but were seeking a more modern design that reflected both the quality of their work and their brand values. This could not be achieved using their original theme selection and the limitations of the user experience (UX) that prevented them from achieving their goals.

A new theme and user experience were needed. WordPress (or any website) upgrades require careful management and a systematic approach to changes; otherwise, previous marketing investments can be at risk, particularly search engine ranking. A plan of action was proposed, and a modern design was selected for the upgrade. A strategic marketing review took place to understand exactly which customers the business wished to engage, identifying stronger sales messaging to encourage positive action, and introducing a simpler approach to overcome any fears (confidentiality or otherwise) the visitor might hold.

Once the blueprint for the project was agreed upon, the existing site was duplicated on a test server to ensure no disruption to business as usual. The existing design was removed while measures were put in place to minimize SEO risk and to ensure all of the existing links would be active once launched. This ensures any legacy content (social media links, newsletter links, and so on) can still function and bring people to the new website.

In partnership, new text content and imagery were developed, including a new page structure (menu) and user experience (UX). The upgrade was then tested prior to launch and went live instantly, replacing the old site, again ensuring no downtime.

While completing the project, Michelle and Mieka asked for Google Ads support, and a new strategy was implemented to drive traffic to the new site.
